First Thursdays: Exploring a Celebrated Short Story

First Thursdays: Exploring a Celebrated Short Story by a Well-known Jewish Writer
Presented by Judy Nadell
Thursday, May 1, 7:30 pm (Hybrid)

Most of us enjoy reading and talking with friends about what we've read, but we don't always have the chance to indulge that basic pleasure. This interactive program will provide precisely that opportunity. Together, we will dig into an engaging, meaty short story by a notable Jewish writer. Published in 1971, the story addresses issues that resonate today: the fragility of relationships, the tug between conflicting inner drives, and the impact on selfhood of the outside world. No need to read the story in advance. The selection will be distributed when we meet or, if you attend virtually, will be shared on screen. Either way, we will have the fun of discovering this thought-provoking story together.

No cost for congregants; $15 per non-congregant in person/per device via Zoom.

Registration required (below) so we may adequately prepare and to receive Zoom login information.
